Welcome Connor!

My, no postings for 3 months! It's been pretty crazy since then. First we had Christmas, which was a present fest that Hannah quickly learnt to love (I'll put that in a separate posting) and then in early January we began our move West. We found a great little basement flat (with garden for the cats) in a Georgian crescent in Bath, which is a lovely. Bath itself is an incredible change from North London and we're certainly enjoying it!

Since mid-January I've been working away at Osborne Clarke and Lauren has found a great job with Ecotricity up in Stroud 4 days a week! Hannah is settled in a pleasant nursery and now we've only got to find a place to buy - not easy in Bath!

Best new however, on March 7th Fiona gave birth to a bonnie lad (8lbs 11oz) whom she and Colin named "Connor Joseph". Good name! Words can't describe, so a picture will have to suffice:

At home with Dad

With Lauren out for the day, Hannah and I spend a busy day in each other's company. I couldn't help snapping some photos for posterity: here she is playing with Milly!

Monkey music & the Giraffe

Last week was the last session of monkey music in Muswell Hill. Hannah loves the singing and hand bells and the opportunity to socialise with her friends! Afterwards, Hannah, Lauren and gang headed for their usual hang out for lunch. Sounds nice!

A visit by family and to the park

While out for some Christmas shopping Aunt Chris popped in to visit. Hannah was really pleased! Later that afternoon we popped down to Down Hill's Park to visit the swings. Hannah was a bit uncertain, but Lauren had no qualms!

Dinner Time

Hannah enjoys her dinner and then some time to unwind from the days stresses!

Nanna at home with Hannah!

Nanna Pam came for a Christmas shopping trip last week on her day off and had a chance to shower affection on little Hannah, who never minds a cuddle or two! Out in the garden Hannah models her new winter wear!

Another Week in Croyde

We spent last week in a cottage in Croyde with Pam, Bob, Granny Ivy and Max! It was a pleasant cottage, but pretty small. Happily everyone got along fine. Lauren and I managed to get quite a lot of surfing in together, which was really nice. Hannah spent lots of time with her grandparents and, with Max, enjoyed lots of beach walks. She really enjoys doing those in the poach and squealed in delight everytime we got down to the sea! We also spent some money! I bought a new shortboard (6'10" fish) and Bob got himself his first board (a 9'2" NSP longboard), which he tried out a couple of times before his back played up! Lauren hogged it after that and had a wicked session on the Friday afternoon in Saunton. Pam picked up a weird polynesian head seat! Ivy enjoyed some nice walks on the beach and to Baggy Point.

A somewhat unusal break, but fun! We would definitely do it again, though perhaps in a bigger cottage!

All good things come to an end...

Lauren and I have been living in our London pad for almost 5 years; good years they have been too. However, we have decided to move to greener pastures! I have accepted a job offer with the intellectual property group of Osborn Clarke in Bristol as from mid-January. It will be a big change for us, but we're heading out West! How great is that! Not sure where yet, but it'll be closer to family and all our favourite locations.

Epping Forest

Sunday we went for a walk in Epping Forest, which is just beginning to show signs of Autumn. The weather held and we had a pleasant time. Hannah saw some horses close up and Lauren found a horse shoe!

Off with the beard!

Well, I suppose it had to happen at some stage! Off with the beard! Hannah didn't seem too bothered!
